31 Days of Horror: Behind the Scenes of The Innocents (1961)

British director Jack Clayton (pictured above on the right in glasses and sweater) added an undercurrent of unsettling sexuality and ambiguity to his 1961 adaptation of Henry James’ gothic ghost story The Turn of the Screw. Clayton’s film version was recently re-released by Criterion, which is the source of the behind the scenes gallery below.
